Our purpose in having a cell phone/technology device policy has been to ensure that learning in classes is focused and uninterrupted. All devices are to be stored in lockers (out of sight) unless directed by the teacher. A teacher may direct and supervise a student to use his/her device for the purpose of communication or for an educational activity.

If the student is in violation of this policy, the device will be confiscated immediately. If it is a first offence, generally, the phone/device can be picked up at the end of the day. However, depending on the severity of the situation other possible consequences may include:

• Parent / Guardian to come to the school to pick up the device
• Suspension procedures

Students may use cellphones/technological devices after school if outside of the building. If on a field trip, the teacher(s) in charge may allow tech devices to be used.
